Is it necessary to have your lacquers cut with a dedicated studio, when the pressing plant can offer the same service? Having your lacquers done by a plant can have it’s advantages. With some manufacturers, It helps to have the process streamlined and, often, the lacquers that are cut for you by a plant or a broker are of high quality – we can say this with confidence because we’re proud of the hundreds of lacquers that we’ve provided over the years to most of the manufacturers in Canada and a few in the US – but if the sound of your record is critically important to you, then there’s no substitute for having your lacquers cut directly with a studio. We love to work directly for the artists and engineers that have made the record, providing continuity for the project and making sure no compromises are made or details missed in the pursuit of efficiency. We’ll make sure we understand your expectations. We’ll make sure the audio files are exactly right before we cut the lacquers. And we’ll be available to you throughout all the later stages of manufacturing to make sure you’re happy with the end result.
